Riding Lessons
From a toddler's first wobbly moments on a miniature horse to cantering through the arena with confidence — we have a lesson program for every age, stage, and goal. Western and English instruction available.
Our Approach
No cookie-cutter programs here. We assess each rider's comfort, ability, and goals before they ever get in the saddle. Our instructors pair riders with the right horse — a calm mini for the tiniest newcomers, a steady trail-proven horse for adults rediscovering the saddle, or a responsive, forward horse for those ready to advance.
All lessons are one hour in length and include time for tacking up (with instructor help), riding, and cool-down care. Ground skills, barn safety, and horse behavior are woven into every session — not just saved for advanced riders.
Lessons are available year-round. We cancel for extreme cold (typically below -20°F at the site) and ice conditions. Monthly members receive make-up lesson credits for weather cancellations.
Our miniature horses are specially trained for youngest beginners. Small enough to feel safe, patient enough for fidgety little riders. Parents walk alongside for every session.
Start here if you've never ridden or have limited experience. We cover horse behavior, mounting, steering, walk/trot, and basic arena safety in a low-pressure environment.
For riders comfortable at trot who want to develop canter, lead changes, collection, trail skills, or discipline-specific skills (barrels, poles, English flatwork, jumping foundations).
Groups of 2–4 riders of similar skill level. Great for homeschool co-ops, siblings, and friends. Small groups keep instruction personalized while reducing cost.
